♡ America - Benefit Haul ♡

So Benefit is one of those brands which I never used to be sure about. Up until recently, I didn't own many of their products purely because of the limited colours available (and the price range!). But in America, the price is quite a lot cheaper so I knew that buying any items I was interested in out there would save me quite a bit of money!

I already own their BAD gal eyeliner which I don't use anymore but I used to all the time. It's really thick and lasts forever; I used to use it on my waterline. I also own their concealer boi-ing which was an impulse buy a few months ago, and I don't use it often as I rarely get spots but it's good for when I have the occasional blemish as it's quite thick and provides high coverage! And I also own their highlighter Watts Up! which is really pretty and creamy. I use this for when I'm having a night out on my cheekbones and use the blending sponge on the other end to blend it in. I use a little on my finger on my brow bone aswell to add that extra dimension and shimmer.
Watts Up - without blending on the left, blended on the right
But I'm assuming you all want to know what I bought in the US? Well! Wait no longer!
The range of Benefit in all of the Sephora stores I went to was amazing and, considering there are Sephoras all over the place, it wasn't hard to get a hold of!

My first purchase was BROWzings! I like my eyebrows to be quite defined but natural looking - there's nothing I find more repulsive than a scouse brow or pencil-thin-almost-non-exsistant brows. This is a really cute little kit that comes in different shades to suit different hair colours - I bought it in the colour medium. It comes with a mini pair of tweezers and two different brushes to apply the product: a chocolately brown gel (that claims to be pigmented but it's not that noticeable) that you use first and a milk chocolate powder to fill in the natural gaps on top. The kit comes with super cute mini brushes and tweezers, and a set of instructions on how to use it.

My second buy was something I had been considering for a while - Hello Flawless foundation in the colour Petal. I had been given the cutest little sample size of this in the colour Ivory a few months before and really liked how it applied. I opted to go for the shade darker purely because I tan slightly in the summer and my regular MAC Studio Fix Foundation is a little too pasty for my skin at this time of the year. The Benefit foundation has quite a watery formula when compared to my MAC foundation, but it applies really well and feels really light on my skin.

My third purchase was a bit of an impulse buy, upon recommendation from my sister. Her best friend has this product and my sister tried it and loved it. It's the Fake Up concealer in the lightest shade, Light, and have only used it a few times. I'm not 100% in love with it as it is a little pale for me currently but I know that in a few weeks time when my tan starts to fade and I do back to University and the early mornings and stress of teaching that it will be a life saver for the dark circles under my eyes! It's got a pigmented core with a moisturising outer edge and is super smooth to apply.

My fourth buy is most definitely my favourite of them all. Again, it was a little impulsive but after trying Martha's one when we were out there I realised how much I loved it and just needed one. It's the Coralista blush. Anyone who knows me can tell you how much I love the colour coral and, although I have the Sleek blush palette in Lace (as mentioned previously) which is quite an orange toned trio of blushes, Coralista just had to join my collection. It has such a nice coppery-coral colour, I've used it loads since and it has not disappointed! It comes with a cute little brush which is surprisingly soft (it looks a little bristly to me but no!) and it actually smells really nice too! It's just so lovely.

I'm really happy with my new additions to my Benefit collection, and I know that they will be put to good use.

Do you own any products from Benefit? What are your favourites?

Until next time!

    1. It's really nice! Quite shimmery though so you don't need much at all for it to have an effect. And Coralista is genuinely my favourite purchase of recent! x

  3. In considering getting coralista blush, is It shimmery? And do you think it would suit darker tanned skin tones? X

    1. It's got a slight shimmer to it but it's not obvious. It's very buildable depending on how strong you like it, and I think it would look lovely on tanned skin! Definitely worth trying it out at a counter first to make sure you like it! :) x
