Empties #1

I've been meaning to write this blog post for ages but I keep getting distracted by more exciting posts! This has resulted in my "empties" box in my bathroom becoming worryingly full so I'm so glad I'm finally getting around to this so that I can throw all the packaging away! Woo! Apologies for the photo quality, as I've been so busy lately and the sun was starting to set when I took them - boo!

My most recently finished is my cute little Blueberry Pumpkin Patch candle from Bath and Body Works. I received this in my package swap back in the Autumn and was so sad I used it all up (although I now have another one woo!). It smells just like Autumn should and made my room so cosy when I was coming home from a long day on my placement.

This Body Shop White Musk Libertine Body Wash was given as a free gift when I signed up for a Body Shop members card (do it, you get discounts and gifts!) and it wasn't something I would normally have picked up however it was really rather lovely! Musky scents aren't usually my thing but when paired with Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, I smelled gorgeous. The only downside about this is that it's one of those bottles where you really have to squeeze to get anything out, and the push-down-to-open lid was really stiff.

Now onto the Covergirl LastBlastVolume mascara. I finished this baby ages ago because all of a sudden it had decided to dry out. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. It's "dupe" in the UK (Maybelline Rocket Volum') however is something that I've been really loving so that's strange! I just felt that this really didn't add much to my lashes at all and was a little disappointing.

I freaking love the smell of these L'oréal EverRiche Shampoo & Conditioners! They smell of caramel and all things yummy and that was one of the main reasons I bought them. I really liked these, however as they are for "nourishing and flowing" your hair, I found that my hair was a little over nourished and that I needed to wash it more often than I normally do. It would get greasy more quickly. It was such a shame because they smell divine. If you have very dry hair then these are for you!

This Bath and Body Works Vanilla Berry Body Lotion was also sent to me in a package swap, and I loved it. I used this during the summer and finished it in around October time. It was so fruity but not overpowering, with a slightly creamy undertone to it too.

I have another Empties post that I will be writing very soon as I decided to split my huge amount into two posts so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Have you tried any of these items? What did you think?

Until next time!

  1. I’m constantly being asked to become a Body Shop member but I never do because I hardly shop there, I’ve recently been shopping there so much and some of their products are definitely going to stay with me forever, the only thing that puts me off is that you have to pay for it but as I’m becoming more and more addicted it does seem worth it haha xo

    1. You should! It didn't cost much if I remember correctly and I've definitely saved in discount what I paid in the first place. That and the free gift was a bonus! I'd recommend joining when they have a free gift for when you join as it's a nice little touch :) xx

  2. I've been wanting to try that line of shampoo and conditioner for ages, as my hair is super dry! Think it's time I gave them a go, plus I'm a sucker for nicely scented hair products :) x

    1. They smell incredible! Definitely worth it - they normally work out at around £4 a tube because they're always on offer :) x
